Welcome to another beautiful day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. The sun is shining and we’re ready to take on the parks. Let’s get going and see what’s new today. Since we’re looking for Halloween Horror Nights construction, let’s start our day over at Universal Studios Florida.
Welcome to Nettlewoods Cemetery. This scare zone in Hollywood is getting more details, including a name! According to the last speculation map, this area could have a vampire theme. The cemetery is a great place for the undead, whether they’re vampires or zombies. Now, we anxiously await the next announcement.
At the exit of Fast and Furious: Supercharged, a large frame has popped up. This area will most likely be a scare zone, so we’ll be checking back on this again soon.
Lighting for Halloween Horror Nights was recently installed by Central Park and now there are some spooky speakers in the bushes. This is such an exciting time to be in the parks! We can’t wait for Halloween Horror Nights, so getting to watch the scare zones take shape around the park is a real treat for us.
Monsters Cafe is no more. The sign and entrance have been demolished to make way for something new. You can take a closer look and watch some of the demolition in our post here.
The old Shrek and Donkey meet and greet is also getting ripped apart. New things are coming and it’s exciting to watch.
This window in the Hollywood section of the park has been refreshed. The text was looking rough recently, but this sign looks much better.
Things are looking interesting around here. It looks like this set up is for the Florida Cup, judging by the logo.
Revenge of the Mummy is still not open, but we’re enjoying looking at everything in Sahara Traders while we can. Once the ride reopens, it’s sure to get much more crowded in this gift shop.
Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem pulling large crowds early in the day. Since this is the first attraction people encounter when they enter the park, it tends to be very busy.
Hopping a ride on the Hogwarts Express since there’s no wait. The earlier you catch the train, the shorter the wait.
It’s packed over here at Islands of Adventure! We made our way quickly through the crowds, but it wasn’t easy.
Toon Lagoon is the place to be on a hot day. As we turned the corner, we spotted a freshly painted ship on Toon Extra. A lot of things in this area have been getting refreshed lately. We would love to see the comic speech bubbles return to the trees one day.
There’s a nice variety of popcorn buckets available now! If you haven’t seen the new Jurassic World raptor egg, be sure to check out our post here. It even lights up!
A 90 minute wait for the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. Crowds always pick up in the afternoon and it seems like a majority of people make their way to Marvel Super Hero Island first.
We’re going to get out of here, but thanks for joining us today around the parks. We’ll be back again soon, so be sure to stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates.
