Guest’s Crocs Eaten by Escalator, Leaving Feature Still Out of Service in The Land Pavilion at EPCOT

We noticed while visiting EPCOT that one of the escalators in The Land was not operating today. This is unfortunately not a new occurrence, as this makes it the third day in a row without the upward escalator on the left side of the building operating. This leaves the only options as the stairs, or for those with less mobility, the often-crowded elevators meant for those traveling in wheelchairs and the like .

The culprit for this fiasco happens to be a pair of crocs a visitor got caught in the escalator on Friday. Of course, this escalator was also closed for months on end not long ago, so this closed signage is becoming a regular sight.

It is known that Crocs are not completely safe to wear on escalators, yet here we are.

As of now, we are unsure when the upward traveling escalator will reopen.

  1. Nothing like almost getting your toes chopped off in the broken down needs to be updated land pavilion… under the beautiful high ceilings and on your way to soarin to glide above the world well shoeless.. Must do Disney…

  2. I gotta say that to get those shoes stuck in an escalator takes brains. I wear a pair a lot and never seen them have issues like this. Or they purposely were trying to get those crocs jammed in there
