The Grinch and Friends Character Breakfast has returned for the holiday season at the Universal Orlando Resort. This character dining experience is held in Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous in Seuss Landing, so it requires a ticket for Islands of Adventure as well as a separately ticketed reservation. Let’s get ready to dine on some Green Eggs and Ham and meet the Grinch!
The Grinch and Friends Character Breakfast – Starting at $41.99 for Adults, $26.99 for Kids
We arrived early to Seuss Landing and checked in with a Team Member at the podium in front of Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous. They’ve rolled out the red carpet for the mean one!
After checking in, we were escorted inside and greeted by the Whos of Who-ville!
A Team Member will escort you to your table inside the restaurant and will take your drink order. The tables are set with real silverware and wrapped in green napkins. Very appropriate for the Grinch breakfast! There’s also syrup on each table, which is a nice touch.
Your beverage choices include anything from the Freestyle machine, hot cocoa, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, tea, water, and Grinch Punch. We went with the Grinch Punch, which is a combination of lime juice, sour apple, and pineapple. It’s sweet and sour, just like the Grinch!
A Team Member has Grinch popcorn buckets, Freestyle cups, and cup slings available for purchase. This is a nice perk to be able to purchase one of these for the day without waiting in line at a stand!
You can go to the buffet and help yourself once your drink order has been taken. The Whos, Sam, and the Grinch go from table to table greeting guests, so you’ll be able to enjoy your food while you wait. There’s a great selection of breakfast options and desserts!
The savory options are plentiful and Team Members are happy to accommodate dietary needs. There’s your typical breakfast fare as well as some healthier options.
There’s overnight oats and chia seed pudding, fresh fruit, granola, and other toppings.
The Green Eggs and Ham Pizza was delicious!
Who Hash is a staple here in Seuss Landing.
Breakfast wouldn’t be complete without Green Eggs and Ham!
There’s chicken and waffles, green pancakes, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, ham, and more.
Martha May’s Baked French Toast deserves an award.
The desserts might be the very best part of this whole buffet! The Grinch cookies from the park are on the buffet, along with spice cake, sugar doughnuts, a green egg brownie pop, heart cake pops, and cookies for Max.
Make sure you show up hungry!
The character interactions are abso-Who-tely fabulous. The Whos spend a lot of quality time with each table, even sitting down and making themselves right at home with your family. You are sure make some great memories here!
Of course, the Grinch is the main reason you’re here, right? He goes around from table to table interacting with guests, so you will definitely get to meet him and get some photos.
There’s also a photographer with the Grinch and Sam who can snap photos for your entire group while you enjoy the experience. They will snap quite a few photos, which are all included with your breakfast.
Here are a few of my favorites.
The Grinch and Friends Character Breakfast was probably one of the most fun experiences we have ever had at Universal Orlando. Every interaction was unique and personal and there were a ton of characters. The wide variety of food was impressive and delicious. We can’t praise this experience enough! If you have the Grinch and Friends Character Breakfast booked this year, you are going to have an amazing time! Happy Who-lidays!
