New starry flooring has been installed in most of the queue of Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom.

The flooring is a shiny black that reflects the blue neon on the ceiling.

Its covered in silvery flecks so it looks like the night sky.

Installation of the flooring is not yet complete and some spots are still rough around the edges.

The flecks aren’t shaped like stars but are different shapes and sizes, a little like confetti.

The new flooring is on the entire right side of the queue, right up to the load area.

The exit of Space Mountain is currently re-routed instead of going into Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. while the shop is refurbished. It will have a new look, and likely a new name, to go with TRON Lightcycle / Run, acting as the gift shop for both Tomorrowland coasters. New glass paneling was installed on the side of the store last week.

  1. I amazes you call out all of the other stuff in the parks, but don’t say anything about one of those cheap plastic A frames siting right in the station. Not even remotely Disney quality signage.
