The fan-favorite resident of Runnamuck Park, Chuuby, has arrived at the reimagining of Mickey’s Toontown as a magnetic shoulder plush.
Chuuby is frequently featured in Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway merchandise. He is the orange cartoon bird residing in Runnamuck Park. He lives in the train barn adjacent to the Runnamuck Railroad station and enjoys entertaining guests with his charming personality.
Chuuby Shoulder Plush – $22.99
A magnetic shoulder plush is a small stuffed animal that is paired with a magnetic plate covered in fabric. When a guest purchases a plush and places it on their shoulder, they can place the included magnetic piece below their shirt to make the character sit still. The plush then appears to perch on a guest’s shoulder as they walk around the park.
The Chuuby magnetic shoulder plush features the bird’s bright yellow and orange palette, along with its cheerful smile. A soft tuft of feathers peeks out from underneath the chin.
Chuuby’s tail and top feathers can be seen from the back.

The attached tag features an illustration for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, where Chuuby and the three baby “Chuubettes” live. It is listed as being appropriate for ages three and older.
The tag, when unfolded, features illustrated instructions on how to use the shoulder plush. It also contains the fabric-covered magnetic disc that a guest places under their shirt to secure the character in place.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway opened at Disneyland Resort on January 27, 2023. The attraction features Minnie and Mickey going on a picnic at Runnamuck Park. Guests hitch a ride on Goofy’s train, Runnamuck Railroad, and the antics ensue.
According to the ride’s backstory, “Chuuby is a merry resident of Runnamuck Park and the essence of his happy surroundings. This multi-talented song-and-dance bird has aspirations of one day performing on the big stage!”
Disney Imagineer Kevin Rafferty created the original Chuuby character for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. According to The OC Register, the bird was originally intended to be named “Chubby.” Due to a typo during a development meeting, the team adopted the name “Chuuby,” which they decided was more endearing.
