“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is scheduled to be released on June 30 as the fifth and final Indiana Jones movie and LEGO has released three new Indiana Jones-themed Lego sets that reimagine famous scenes from past Indy films that are sure to help celebrate the finale of the movie franchise.
The new sets are based on scenes from “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.” Comicbook.com reported that fans can reserve their kits starting on April 1.
LEGO Indiana Jones Temple of the Golden Idol – $149.99
This 1,545-piece LEGO kit, which is recommended for 18 years and up, is massive. It memorializes the opening scene from “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” (1981).
The model kit is extremely interactive. It includes a light-up idol, with 4 knobs that will lower and light up the idol, a collapsable wall, and a rolling boulder. Additionally, Indiana Jones can swing across a cavern and lower a trapdoor.
Here you can see Indy in “action,” as he is being chased by the massive boulder. Disney fans will recognize this as one of the scenes from the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The kit also includes four figures: Indiana Jones, Satipo, Belloq, and a Hovitos Warrior.
LEGO Indiana Jones Escape from the Lost Tomb – $39.99
This kit, also from the ’81 film, “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark,” depicts Indy as he searches for the Ark of the Covenant in the snake-infested Well of Souls. The 600-piece kit, for ages 8 and up, includes Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, Sallah, a mummy, and an assortment of snakes. Once completed, adventurers can help Indy escape by climbing the massive Anubis statue and finding the hidden passage.
This kit is also interactive, featuring a toppling Anubis statue that falls over and breaks through a section of the temple wall.
LEGO Indiana Jones Fighter Plane Chase – $34.99
The third LEGO kit is the famous plane and car chase scene from “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” (1989).
Also appropriate for ages 8 and up, this 387-piece kit comes with a fighter plane and jeep.
The set comprises of a fighter airplane featuring a movable propeller, two stud shooters, and detachable wings. The vintage convertible car’s rear section houses a chest containing an umbrella and a pistol.
Three action figures are included: Indiana Jones, his father – Professor Henry Jones Sr., and a pilot.
In addition to each of the three kits being very interactive, builders can zoom in, rotate sets in 3D, and track their progress using the LEGO Builder app.
