Black Forest Ham Grilled Cheese Half Sandwich- $8.00
Sourdough grilled cheese with black forest ham, smoked mozzarella, and red wine-poached pear jam served with sun-dried tomato-cheese sauce
This is anything but fresh. It looks like it spent hours under a heat lamp, and tastes like it too.
The flavors are nice and rich, and they work well together, but the texture is way too hard because the sandwich sat in a foil wrapper under a heat lamp all day. It’s also not listed on their menu, which probably gives a clue as to why they’re sitting for so long.
The sauce is congealed and too firm. It’s a mayo-based spicy sauce that was difficult to dip the sandwich into because it was so solid. It was like the Zax Sauce at Zaxby’s if it weren’t creamy. The taste wasn’t unpleasant, but getting it to coat the sandwich wasn’t easy.
This would honestly be a good offering if it were fresh, but as it is, don’t waste your money or time on it.
Food & Wine Corkcicle Stemless Glasses – $30.00 each
The stemless glasses come in two colors. The first is this frosted blue, which has the festival logo in a shiny material to make it stand out.
The Corkcicle logo appears on on the opposite side.
There’s also a frosted jade version, which has the logos in white.
Purchases of the glasses are limited to two per person per transaction.
The 2023 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be running from March 3 to April 25, 2023.
