VIDEO: Interview with Former Imagineer Jim Shull for 30th Anniversary (and Grand Reopening) of Mickey’s Toontown

During our recent celebration of 30 years of Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland Park, we interviewed former Imagineer Jim Shull.

Shull worked for Walt Disney Imagineering for nearly 33 years, retiring in late 2020. He worked on the original Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland, which opened in 1993, as well as on some of the recent reimagining. This year, he shared a personal “blue sky” project idea for an Oswald and Ortensia ride that could have replaced Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin but never came to be.

Watch our interview with Shull about the creation of Mickey’s Toontown below.
