VIDEO: New Disney100 ‘Tradition’ Sizzle Reel

A new video for Disney100 Tradition has been released with the tag line “100 years ago, a tradition began with you.”

Disney100 Tradition Sizzle Reel

The video plays small one second clips from many of our favorite Disney, Pixar, and Marvel movies including “Guardians of the Galaxy”, “Toy Story”, “Tangled”, “Aladdin”, and more.

We hear Walt’s voice say “Welcome” as Aladdin pulls back the curtain to reveal the words “100 years ago” and then Disneyland’s Main Street Train Station back in 1955— when Disneyland opened its doors for the first time.

As plenty of movie clips, and clips from Disney’s 100 year history are shown, Walt Disney is giving one of his famous speeches, which was at the dedication ceremony for Disneyland in 1955.

Walt continues to say “Here age relives fond memories of the past —and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future…”

Throughout each of the clips, words appear on a black screen. All together, they read: “100 years ago, a tradition began with you. You made this dream come true.”

More clips are shown from “Frozen”, “Moana”, “The Mandalorian”, “The Princess & The Frog”, “Avatar”, and more. You can hear “I hear you”, “I know you”, and “I see you” as the clips are being played.

Many of the clips that are in between the still frames of words and movie clips, are videos of families having fun on their Disney vacation, as well as children dressing up as their favorite Disney characters.

It also shows people meeting their favorite characters and the shock and awe on each of their faces.

Walt continues to say, “Disney is dedicated to the ideals and the dreams that have created America. With the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.”

Captain America

Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, closes out the video saying “I promise you, if you need us, we’re here for you —always.”

The video ends with Mickey holding Walt Disney’s hand followed by the Disney100 logo.
