This milk shake can be purchased at the Connections Eatery located in World Celebration in EPCOT. It’s just across from Creations Shop.

Disney claims this dining location will “take your taste buds on a tour around the world with dishes inspired by Italian, French and Asian cuisines.” This location takes over what used to be Electric Umbrella and Innoventions East. With the expansion, it is considerably larger than the former restaurant, offering over 750 seats now.

Milkshakes are actually of American design, the first one allegedly being crafted in 1922 by Ivan “Pop” Coulson, a Walgreens employee seeking to improve on their chocolate malted milk drink. He added scoops of ice cream to the drink to make it more rich and decadent, and unknowingly created the first iteration of what would become a fast food and theme park staple many years later.

This milkshake is very thick, and at first, it’s tough to drink through the oversized straw. We thought that once you get it going, you are rewarded for your efforts with a delicious, creamy milkshake with a smooth and mellow aftertaste.

This full vanilla flavor is slightly more elevated than most on property, and the finely ground vanilla beans are visible in the shake upon close inspection.

Some people use “vanilla” to describe something plain and boring, but this shake has enough flavor to bring us back. It’s a great sweet treat to enjoy on the sweltering Florida summer days that are just around the corner here at EPCOT.

We reviewed every item on the menu at the Connections Eatery. Some were delicious wins, and some items we’d rather pass on next time around. Watch the video above for all the juicy details.
