Join us for Disney Uncharted Adventure, an interactive game available in the Disney Cruise Line app during Disney Wish sailings. Though the ship launched last year, Disney Uncharted Adventure wasn’t ready and has been in demo mode for a while. Now all guests can play the game, which sends them around the ship on various quests in an attempt to rebuild the Wishing Star.
Gameplay is not unlike Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, the defunct Walt Disney World trading card game, or Midship Detective Agency on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.

Disney Uncharted Adventure Introduction
Disney Wish guests can access Disney Uncharted Adventure from the homepage of the Disney Cruise Line app after boarding the ship.
In an opening sequence, a narrator introduces guests to star navigation, but Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey interrupt to talk about the Wishing Star.
Mickey and Minnie explain guests will get a “virtual package” with their own Spyglass.
Users can then create their DisneyMe avatar.
You are able to create multiple DisneyMe avatars in one app and play as a team.
After making your character, Mickey and Minnie deliver Spyglasses (to cruise guests only, although the narrator wishes he had one).
If you need to, you are able to re-watch these explanatory videos.
After receiving your virtual Spyglass, you can officially start your adventure.
Mickey, Minnie, and the narrator prepare guests to “glimpse wonders of the universe heretofore unseen by the human eye: magnificent constellations that indicate the locations of Disney story worlds.”
The constellations include Maui’s fishhook, Miguel’s guitar, and Peter Pan. They are all powered by the Wishing Star.
As guests watch, however, a powerful dark force attacks the Wishing Star. The Star splits its power into pieces, which fall into the various constellations, to protect itself. It’s up to the player to find the pieces and restore the Wishing Star before the powerful dark forces do.
You can use your virtual Spyglass to view and select the different constellations. We started with the “Finding Nemo” story world. Note that you may get different mini-games and in a different order depending on which constellations you select.
The game is designed to be played over multiple days of your sailing. Some games can only be accessed during operating hours (because they’re inside a venue), so you aren’t able to play through the night.
Nemo Mini-Game
After selecting a constellation, your Spyglass will direct you to a location on the ship. We were sent to a screen right outside Keg & Compass on deck 5.
After hitting “Let’s go,” a map of the ship popped up to help us find Keg & Compass.
After reaching your destination, you’ll need to hit “I’ve arrived.” If you’re at a screen, point your Spyglass at the Wishing Star in the corner, activating the game.
When not in game mode, these screens display artwork and event times.
Nemo appears to help us in our quest. He saw where the Wishing Star piece landed.
Players then help Nemo navigate the coral reef by tilting their phones right and left, up and down.
Unfortunately, the EAC has carried away the Wishing Star piece and Nemo has to get back to his dad.
At the end of each mini-game, players see their score. They also unlock different accessories for their DisneyMe avatar, like a Nemo-striped tank top.
Inside Out Mini-Game
Before following the EAC, Minnie sent us to Inside Out: Joyful Sweets on deck 11 to “prepare the ship to dive underwater.”
Inside the sweets shop, we headed to the wall of memory orbs.
On your phone, you watch a sequence of missing memory orbs lighting up. You then drag the memory orbs into their correct spots. You’ll see the corresponding orbs on the wall light up as you place them.
Plumbing Mini-Game
The ship “dives underwater,” but something goes wrong with the plumbing. We headed to the Inside Cinderella’s Castle art on deck 6 to find the problem.
We helped repair the pipeline.
If you take too long on some tasks, Mickey may step in to help.
EAC Mini-Game
We’re finally ready to enter the EAC! We visited Marceline Market (starboard side) on deck 11 for this leg of the journey.
Here, we met Crush and Squirt.
We played a game similar to Nemo’s where we had to navigate the ocean, collecting bubbles and avoiding jellyfish.
We finally collected a piece of the Wishing Star!
Check-in With the Captains
Minnie sent us to the Cinderella’s Pumpkin Coach Art on deck 6 to check in with her and Mickey.
Minnie is searching for a pice of the Star’s magic that landed on the Disney Wish.
Mickey comes by to help her but is distracted by an itch on his back.
He finds something to help him scratch his back and it turns out to be the piece of the Wishing Star.
At this point, we could select another constellation, so we headed to Neverland! Well, actually, London first.
Peter Pan Mini-Game
We went to the Forward Elevator Landing (port side) on deck 2.
Here, Peter led us to Neverland via the second star to the right.
Again, we tilted our device to navigate. A speed boost is available on your phone.
You’ll want to collect pixie dust and avoid thunderclouds.
When we arrived, Peter realized he doesn’t know where Tinker Bell is.
On our phone, we saw Tink spying on Captain Hook, who has the Wishing Star piece. She then flew to the Disney Wish.
Minnie sent us to look for Tink at the window of Hook’s Barbery on deck 4.
Tinker Bell Mini-Game
Mickey brought keys to open the various lanterns in Hook’s Barbery. Players have to use their phones to match the keys and lanterns.
Unlocking the lanterns on your phone puts their lights out in Hook’s Barbery. Then Tinker Bell is freed.
Peter is shown flying alongside the Wish and he loses his shadow.
We were sent to the Pinocchio and Geppetto Mosaic Art on deck 4 to look for Peter’s shadow.
Peter’s Shadow Mini-Game
Through our phones, we could see Peter’s shadow flying across the mosaic. You have to tap the shadow to shine a light on it (several times), which distracts it enough for Peter to catch it.
Captain Hook Mini-Game
Now that Peter has found his shadow, he can help us defeat Captain Hook. We headed to the port side of Marceline Market on deck 11 for this game.
As soon as we arrived, Hook sent his pirate crew after us.
We used a slingshot to fight pirates coming at us on rowboats.
Captain Hook and Mr. Smee are on the final boat.
After defeating Hook, we received the Wishing Star piece.
It’s time to check in with Minnie and Mickey again, this time at the Going Down The Bayou Art on deck 9.
Check-in With the Captains
Mickey spots Flotsam and Jetsam swimming toward the Disney Wish, but they hide from Captain Minnie, who only sees buoys.
Mickey shrugs off the encounter.
But it gives guests the first hint at who may be behind the plot to get the Wishing Star…
We’ve collected two Wishing Star pieces so far, so chose another constellation to visit: Maui’s fishhook!
Moana Mini-Game
We headed to the Grand Hall Activities Board (port side) on deck 4 to meet up with Moana in the Pacific Islands.
Moana saw the Wishing Star piece fall near the entrance to Lalotai.
We help her navigate the ocean to reach Lalotai.
She says it should be smooth sailing from here, as long as we don’t run into any Kakamora.
So of course, the Kakamora appear, sliding along on a rope onto the Disney Wish.
We went to Ariel’s Secret Grotto Art on deck 10 to get rid of them.
Kakamora Mini-Game
This game is similar to the shadow game, with the Kakamora appearing on the artwork. We used a net to catch them.
Once the Kakamora are dealt with, we need to do some magic on the ship to get it into the monster realm. Minnie sent us to the Underwater Luca Art on deck 10.
Machine Mini-Game
We helped Mickey craft a virtual Rube Goldberg machine.
We then used our phone like a pump to lift a golden orb into the ship.
We joined forces with Maui to make our way into Lalotai.
Maui led us to the screen outside Luxury Retail (starboard side) on deck 3.
Tamatoa Mini-Game
Knowing we were looking for something shiny, Maui sent us to Tamatoa.
Tamatoa is sleeping, so you have to be careful not to wake him.
You can tilt your device to look over his shell and tap an item on your device to pick it up.
Unfortunately, Tamatoa woke up.
We lulled him back to sleep by shaking our device to play soothing sounds from a shell.
We’ve not found three Wishing Star pieces! The only constellation left was a trumpet, representing “The Princess and the Frog.”
Louis Mini-Game
After seeing the piece fell at Tiana’s Palace, we met up with Louis in the bayou at the Wonderland Cinema on deck 4.
In return for leading us to Tiana’s Palace, we helped Louis warm up.
You just have to strum, tap, or shake the instrument on your device when the same instrument crosses the spotlight above Louis.
Then you put it all together into one song.
We need a bright light to attract the fireflies so they can lead us to Tiana’s Palace. Louis goes looking one way, while we go another.
Machine Mini-Game
Minnie sent us back to the Underwater Luca Art on deck 10 to set up the same Rube Goldberg machine from before.
This activated a light bright enough to attract the fireflies.
Fireflies Mini-Game
The fireflies fly all over the ship, so players need to catch them to release them back into the bayou. We went to the Figaro and Cleo Mosaic Art on deck 4, where we used a virtual jar to scoop up the fireflies.
The fireflies then fly back to Tiana’s Palace.
Tiana Mini-Game
We go to Tiana’s Palace too, finding it outside Vibe on deck 12.
Tiana’s restaurant is busy and she needs some help making gumbo.
It’s our job to tap ingredients to add them to the pot.
You also have to add sauce, stir the gumbo, and cool it down. Then Tiana gives you the Wishing Star piece!
Check-in With the Captains
We need to check in with Mickey and Minnie one more time.
Mickey has gotten a chest to store the pieces of the Wishing Star in.
Minnie points out he needs a lock. Meanwhile, a tentacle reaches over the side of the ship and tries to open the chest.
Battle for the Wishing Star
Disney Uncharted Adventure culminates in the battle for the Wishing Star, an event all guests can attend at Luna on the final evening of the cruise.
Guests continue to play along during this small show. You don’t have to have completed all the other quests to play during the battle, and you can continue playing after the battle is over.
A Cast Member — Finnley — leads guests in fully restoring the Wishing Star.
Finnley has their own special Spyglass.
Mickey and Minnie are supposed to join them but seem to be delayed.
To energize the pieces and put them back together, we make wishes on our phones.
The Cast Member doesn’t know how to send the star back into the sky, so pulls it into their own Spyglass until Mickey and Minnie arrive.
Then a mysterious and suspicious Cast Member named Vanessa shows up on the screen.
Vanessa says Mickey and Minnie have been “detained” but asked Finnley to give her the Wishing Star.
Finnley hesitates in giving Vanessa the Star.
After checking with the stargazers in the audience, Finnley decides to hold onto the Star. Vanessa tries to take it, and the stargazers help Finnley fight back with their Spyglasses.
Still, the Wishing Star is freed and Vanessa transforms into her true form…
Ursula!
The Sea Witch takes the Wishing Star, revealing she’s the one who first tried to steal it from the sky.
Ursula casts a spell on the Star so it doesn’t split into pieces again.
She also reveals that she has captured Mickey and Minnie.
It’s up to the stargazers to defeat Ursula.
Players have to tap on their phones to build up magic energy.
Ursula fights back with evil magic from the Wishing Star.
Minnie is freed.
Ursula takes off with Mickey. Thankfully, Minnie has a plan. She heads to the bridge.
Finnley and the stargazers try to use their Spyglasses to try to fix the Wishing Star.
Minnie has them help steer the ship instead.
As shown on screen, the Disney Wish encircles Ursula, creating a whirlpool.
Ursula grows bigger and bigger. Minnie has one last plan — wake the Wishing Star so it can break out from Ursula’s spell.
Minnie plays the ship’s horn and the stargazers sing along to wake up the Star.
It takes a few tries, but it works — the Wishing Star returns to normal, Ursula shrinks back into the ocean, and Mickey is freed.
The Wishing Star vanishes but as everyone makes a wish, it returns to the sky.
The constellations reappear, too.
Then, Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie make a surprise in-person appearance in Luna.
While they wave from the stage, players’ DisneyMe avatars appear on the screen.
They thank the stargazers and Finnley.
It wouldn’t be a celebration without confetti.
Mickey and Minnie are busy, so can’t stick around for a meet and greet.
Finally, you can view your score for all of the games during the battle of the Wishing Star.
