Universal Orlando has spared no expense when it comes to celebrating the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park. From new merchandise to the Jurassic Park Tribute Store, there are a lot of ways to celebrate Jurassic June. Now we have word of a special new offering — a greeting with Jurassic Park and InGen founder John Hammond!
John Hammond Meet-and-Greet
To celebrate the third decade of the iconic dinosaur film franchise, John Hammond, the original founder of Jurassic Park played by the late Richard Attenborough, is out to greet guests outside the Universal CityWalk Cinemark.
The eccentric billionaire is out in his characteristic white shirt and pants, wicker hat, and with his signature walking stick topped by a piece of amber with a mosquito inside.
Hammond gladly shows off some dinosaur fossils in front of the Jurassic Park Jeeps we discovered outside the theater this morning.
And of course you’re welcome to get some photos with him, as this greeting will only be around for a limited time.
Along with the big guy himself, two comic relief Jurassic Park Rangers are around to keep things light and fun with props and skits.
Some of the rangers encourage kids to catch plush dinosaurs in the net, signifying their achievement with applause.
Meanwhile another attempted to drink out of his binoculars like a flask. With rangers like this, maybe it’s no wonder things got a bit out of control within Jurassic Park.
If you want to meet John Hammond and his Jurassic Park Rangers, better hurry down to Universal CityWalk Orlando! They will be out meeting guests Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in front of the Cinemark theater in CityWalk, but they’ll be gone after that.
You can also watch a video of the greeting experience above.
