To celebrate the 4th of July, Mickey and friends are dressed in their “Spirit of ’76” revolutionary uniforms for a meet and greet outside The American Adventure Pavilion in EPCOT.
4th of July Mickey & Friends Meet and Greet
Today, guests can meet Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip ‘n’ Dale. The first three appear under an overhang to the right side of the pavilion. Donald was advertised but Cast Members were unsure if or when he would appear.
Goofy and Mickey are in red and blue coats. They all wear black hats and Pluto has a red, white, and blue sash.
Chip and Dale are at a white archway on the other side of the pavilion, also wearing sashes and hats.
In the archway behind them is a red, white, and blue rosette and drapery.
4th of July at Walt Disney World Resort
Celebration is in full swing for the Fourth of July 2023 at Walt Disney World. Fireworks and DJ dance parties began yesterday at Magic Kingdom and will continue through tonight.
The Disney Celebrates America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky will be performed at 9:20 p.m. at Magic Kingdom. Watch our video of last night’s performance:
There will also be U.S. Air Force flyover in the morning.
At EPCOT, the “Heartbeat of Freedom” tag will be performed at the end of “EPCOT Forever.” The tag was previously performed after “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” on Independence Day, and then was suspended for a few years due to COVID-19. Last year, it was performed after “Harmonious.” This will be the first (and potentially only) time it plays after “EPCOT Forever.”
A cappella group Voices of Liberty will also perform classic American songs in The American Adventure. Spaceship Earth is lighting up red, white, and blue in the evenings.
The Walt Disney World Monorails are celebrating with red, white, and blue undercarriage lights.
Fourth of July-inspired food items returning to Walt Disney World Resort this year include the Fourth of July Fruit Tart at Contempo Café in Disney’s Contemporary Resort and the Fourth of July Liege Waffle at Connections Café in EPCOT.
