Mickey & Friends Silhouette Corkcicles Now Available in Walt Disney World

New Corkcicle tumblers and drink holders celebrating the Sensational Six Disney characters have arrived at Walt Disney World Resort.

Mickey & Friends Silhouette Blue & Pink Corkcicle – $34.99

This first item was discovered at BouTiki, the gift shop located on the first floor lobby of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, though it’s also been seen at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

The front features the logos of the two companies, and is predominantly blue & pastel pink.

Encircling the top are some of Disney’s most iconic characters — Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Goofy.

This design is similar to a Yeti White Claw holder, and similar in size. It’s intended to hold a can, cup, or bottle that can fit inside, wrapping around with a relatively tight rubbery material. The top ring is removable, though there is no actual lid completely enclosing it.

Mickey & Friends Silhouette Black & White Corkcicle – $55

We spotted this next Corkcicle at Bayview Gifts in Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Larger than the first version, this tumbler features the same design, aside from its colors being black and white. This version does not hold other containers; rather, the liquid goes directly inside.

The Orlando-based Corkcicle brand started when inventor Ben Hewitt and two entrepreneurs created a bottle with an icicle inserted to chill contents from the inside, originally intended for wine. One of the original investors, Stephen Bruner, elaborated on their strategy:

All of us at Corkcicle have an insatiable curiosity and desire to learn all we can about what’s trending, what’s new and what’s driving consumer behavior. Largely, we like to spot trends outside of the housewares industry and figure out how we can create a product inside our industry that speaks to that growing need. This allows our products to be fresh and more innovative compared to just seeing what everyone else is doing and making a slight modification to it. But curiosity is the foundation and then building bridges from what we discover into what we do and make.
