Walt Disney World Resort Hotels Share Fireworks Viewing Restrictions for Fourth of July 2023

Ahead of this week’s Fourth of July festivities, select Walt Disney World resort hotels have shared new fireworks viewing restrictions for the holiday’s displays at Magic Kingdom.

Walt Disney World Fourth of July Fireworks Viewing Restrictions

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Fireworks Viewing Restrictions

At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, wristbands will be required in order to gain access to the resort’s Beach Bash and fireworks viewings. Fireworks viewing will only be available for registered guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

Wristband distribution will take place on July 3 and 4 throughout the day in the following locations:

Front Desk – Bell Services

  • Monday, July 3 – 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 4 – 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Lava Pool Gate Near Hawaii Building

  • Tuesday, July 4 – 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Fireworks Viewing Restrictions

At Disney’s Grand Floridian, guests can view “Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” at the Gasparilla Patio.

Despite giving out a similar pamphlet to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, wristbands are not necessary to view the fireworks at the Grand Floridian.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort Fireworks Viewing Restrictions

Disney’s Contemporary Resort did not have a flyer to give out, but we were told that Fourth of July fireworks viewing on the resort’s fourth floor would be wristband access only. We were not told what time wristband distribution would take place. It is possible that a similar distribution schedule to the one at the Polynesian will take place here as well.

“Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky”

The special Fourth of July fireworks show is scheduled to return to Magic Kingdom for performances on July 3 and 4, taking place at 9:20 p.m. on both nights.

Last year, Celebrate America! had its comeback after a three-year hiatus due to COVID-19 pandemic closures and complications. Full video of the show can be viewed below.

The 2022 version had a new narrator and minor script changes in the first half. The second half was different than previous versions. You can compare it to our video from 2019 here. This updated show will likely be what is presented this year, but we will keep you updated.

What do you think of these changes to fireworks viewing rules for the Fourth of July at Walt Disney World? Does this impact your plans? Or will you be heading to Magic Kingdom to see them up close? Let us know in the comments.
