Among the props inside is this drum for the Firefly Five plus Lou, a reference to the band from the movie, which is in turn a reference to the Firehouse Five Plus Two, a 1950s jazz band led by Disney animation legend Ward Kimball (of the “Nine Old Men”) and other animators at the studio.

Integral to the formation of the Good Time Jazz label, this group saw great success, even receiving the blessing of Walt Disney to perform at Disneyland and various company social functions, so long as they continued their normal functions at the studio.

This mural is inspired by the New Orleans bayou lit up at night, with Evangeline’s and Ray’s stars from “The Princess and the Frog.”

A bell with a bug pull hangs from a frog statue’s tongue, next to a shelf of cook books and supplies.

Check out some of the food items that will be on the Tiana’s Palace menu. The restaurant is inspired by “The Princess and the Frog” and is a reimagining of French Market Restaurant, which itself inspired Disney animators in the design of Tiana’s Palace.
