This edition is ghostly teal green with a black glaze. It will be served with the specialty cocktail Cloaked Specter or a non-alcoholic version.

The Hatbox Ghost tiki mug will be available at Trader Sam’s on Wednesday, August 9, beginning at 11:30 a.m. PT. Guests will be limited to two mugs per person, per transaction. It will be available while supplies last.

Disneyland also shared that there is still a limited amount of the blue 1st edition José tiki mug released for the 60th anniversary of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.

Disney’s first Halloween tiki mug, a zombie head with green interior glaze, was based off Blaine Gibson’s original sculpt design of the Hatbox Ghost.

The Haunted Mansion & The Hatbox Ghost

The Haunted Mansion first opened to Disneyland guests on August 9, 1969. The Hatbox Ghost was there that day, but technology still needed to catch up to his effect, so he was removed within a few weeks. Disney brought back the Hatbox Ghost in 2015, for the 60th anniversary of Disneyland, and he remains in the Haunted Mansion’s attic scene.

The Hatbox Ghost is currently being installed in The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom, which was an opening day attraction at the Florida park. There is also a Haunted Mansion at Tokyo Disneyland.

At Disneyland Park in Paris, guests can ride the similar Phantom Manor, which has its own unique story but shares many elements with the original mansion.

Over at Hong Kong Disneyland is Mystic Manor, an entirely different attraction that took inspiration from the Haunted Mansion, but has no references to the afterlife.
