To coincide with Flavors of Florida at Disney Springs, D-Luxe Burger has offered some special items for the occasion. In July, we tried the Lime Garage Burger and Orange Bird Shake, both of which were relatively underwhelming. With the arrival of August, we’ve given Lime Garage a second chance — find out how it went below.

Lime Garage Burger – $13.49

The burger debuted last year alongside the Orange Garage burger, in reference to two of the parking garages at Disney Springs. Disney fans sometimes squabble about which garage is superior, and the burgers had a “showdown” in reference. It seems like the Lime Garage Burger won, since the Orange Garage burger did not return this year.

Last time, we described this burger as salty, dry, tough, limited in its flavor profile, and lacking a stand-out sauce. This visit went far better.

What’s amazing about this melange of flavors is that they actually all work together extremely well. The pepper jack and jalapeño in the crema give just a bit of a kick, while the avocado cools it off. The citrus pork belly, while present, is a bit understated, but does contribute a hint of citrus to the overall flavor. The fried green tomato rounds out the melange of flavors with a Florida touch, and adds a nice crunch even though the breading was fairly soggy.

Overall, this is a burger that we would definitely recommend, though D-Luxe does have a menu full of great burgers, so it might be difficult to decide. For the most part, you really can’t go wrong with anything here, and definitely don’t pass up on the fries with the signature house-made sauces. This is possibly the best spot to get fries in all of Walt Disney World.
