We don’t want to imply that the Spicy Chili Dog looks like a priceless piece of artwork on the menu, but it certainly wasn’t served to us as it was pictured.

This dish isn’t terrible, though it’s exactly what you would expect it to be, given the description. It doesn’t break the mold from a creative or culinary standpoint and almost comes off as more of a late-night convenience store concoction than it does a festive offering at Disneyland.

Spicy Chili Dog Halloween 2023 4

The hot dog itself isn’t of the highest quality; it’s fine, but nothing spectacular. The spicy chili, nacho cheese, and brown mustard combine for a fine, yet underwhelming flavor and kick. The hot corn chips do add a nice bit of crunch, spice, and overall substance to this otherwise lackluster dish, though it’s not really enough to save it, in our opinion.

It’s a chili cheese dog with semi-crumbled corn chips on top. If that sounds like something you would enjoy, you will probably like it, as it tastes exactly how it sounds. Are you still curious about it? Let us know in the comments.

Halloween offerings at Disneyland will be available through November 9, unless otherwise noted.
