Most of Frontierland in Magic Kingdom is currently closed (as of 4:40 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 3) for unannounced reasons, but possibly due to a ruptured sewage line.
Frontierland Closed
Cast Members (mostly custodial and management) were blocking the way into Frontierland from both ends. Guests could still access Big Thunder Mountain Railroad via the pathway at the back of Adventureland.
What looks like a pump truck was parked in front of Country Bear Jamboree, leading us to believe there has been some sort of leak.
While we saw the truck from near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Twitter user Eric Chu (@ericthomaschu) saw the truck from the other end of Frontierland.
The Orlando Guy got a view from Tom Sawyer Island.
User @3BridgesNick also shared a photo of the truck, with several Cast Members and crew gathered around it.
Next to The Diamond Horseshoe Review, Cast Members were guarding part of a vacuum system on a cart before crew members came to collect it.
On the My Disney Experience app, Country Bear Jamboree is listed as temporarily closed. Guests also can’t access Frontier Trading Post or Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.
Around 5:05 p.m. ET, Tiana made an appearance to offer guests some sort of interaction with the area while it’s blocked.
Update: as of 5:35 p.m. ET, the situation is resolved and Frontierland is back to normal operations and accessibility.
