REVIEW: Sunshine Seasons Has a Secret Menu Milkshake at EPCOT

A brand new way to beat the late-summer heat is available at Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT… for those with their ear to the ground. An Oreo Milkshake recently debuted as a “secret menu item” at the quick service restaurant; it’s not listed on the menu, but it’s available if you ask for it.

Oreo Milkshake – $8.99

No official ingredients list provided, but it’s ice cream topped with whipped topping and crumbled Oreo cookies

Sunshine Seasons is located on the lower floor of The Land Pavilion in EPCOT. The restaurant has offered other secret and specialty desserts in the past.

Putting the allure created by this treat’s ‘secret’ nature aside, it’s a pretty standard Sunshine Seasons milkshake. The shake itself tastes akin to a Wendy’s Frosty, right down to it being just a tad freezer-burnt. There’s a hefty helping of whipped topping placed atop, and it’s light enough that it stays atop the milkshake without much issue. The topping, combined with the always-delicious Oreo cookies, adds an additional layer of sweetness to the otherwise underwhelming shake.

The Oreo Milkshake takes on an almost McDonald’s McFlurry-like flavor when all the elements are combined, it’s just a bit lighter in flavor and thickness. Combining the topping and cookies with the ice cream does enhance the entire experience, but not to the point that we’re comfortable spending nearly $10 on it.

The secret Oreo Milkshake certainly isn’t bad, but it’s nothing extraordinary. We think you could easily find far superior treats around EPCOT, and unless you’re really craving Oreos, we wouldn’t recommend it.
