The Peacock Halloween Horror Bar is open for business during Halloween Horror Nights 2023 at Universal Studios Hollywood. In addition to special drinks, guests can also meet exclusive characters, notably SNL’s David S. Pumpkins and the Bride of Frankenstein.
Peacock Halloween Horror Bar
Peacock’s Halloween Horror Bar is located in Laemmle Court (named for Carl Laemmle, the founder of Universal Studios) on the upper lot, across from Hollywood & Vine.
The premium cocktails available are the Peacocktail, Charles Lee Ray, and Purge Punch. Beer, hard seltzers, and Cutwater cocktails are also available.
Next to the entrance archway is a black backdrop between two sets of red velvet ropes.
This is where characters appear at night.
Bride of Frankenstein
It wouldn’t be Halloween without some Universal Monsters, and the Bride was feeling particularly monstrous during our visit. She hissed at us several times.
The Bride wears a tattered white and gray dress and arm wraps.
David S. Pumpkins
Tom Hanks originated the role of David S. Pumpkins on the October 22, 2016 episode of “SNL.” The sketch — written by Mikey Day, Bobby Moynihan, and Streeter Seidell — has a couple riding a Tower of Terror-esque ride called 100 Floors of Frights. Pumpkins, a man in a pumpkin-patterned suit, continues to appear and dance with two skeletons (Day and Moynihan).
After the sketch, David S. Pumpkins went viral. He starred in the animated 2017 “The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special,” and later returned to “SNL” in 2022 for a sketch. He had cameos in “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure” at Universal Studios Florida, but this is his first appearance at Universal Studios Hollywood.
He’s here to scare the “heck” out of you!
David S. Pumpkins is also appearing at HHN 32 in Florida.
