Stranger Things 4 is one of ten haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights 32, marking the third “Stranger Things” house in the event’s history.

You’ll need your squad to resist Vecna’s gruesome curse. Like Eleven, now’s your chance to stop him once and for all as you take on the scariest season of Stranger Things yet.

The house takes guests through the Upside Down and Hawkins, Indiana, as they attempt to avoid becoming one of Vecna’s victims. The sets include the Hawkins National Laboratory, the Creel House, and Vecna’s Mind Lair.

Not only does the house open with Chrissy’s death, but fans will have to deal with watching Eddie Munson succumb to demobats right in front of them.

This house was good, and better than the previous Season 2 and 3 house. We might even venture to say it was better than the first Stranger Things house, which felt a lot to us like photo-ops you couldn’t actually participate in.

Keeping this house focused on Vecna was a good choice, as it kept the story tight — and for those wondering, yes, “Master of Puppets” and “Running Up That Hill” are both present in the house.

The house opens with guests walking up toward Eddie’s trailer. In the window, a projection can be seen of Chrissy levitating. Upon entering, guests will find her already contorted on the ceiling as Eddie is screaming for her to wake up.

Overall, we thought the sets and costumes were good and the scareactors were great. Stranger Things 4 is a solid house, but not a contender on our list for the top.

Backstory

“Stranger Things” is no stranger to Halloween Horror Nights. A house based on the first season was featured at HHN 28, followed by a house based on seasons 2 and 3 in 2019.

The hit Netflix show follows a group of children in the 1980s who become involved in a tangled web of supernatural goings-on. When a portal to another dimension called the Upside Down is opened in their hometown of Hawkins, Indiana, the group becomes involved in a battle for the fate of the world. Facing Dungeons & Dragons-inspired monsters like the Demogorgon, Mindflayer, and Vecna, the stakes are raised with each season.

Season 4 finds the group split between Indiana, California, and Russia. The house follows as the kids attempt to save themselves (and everyone) from Vecna.
