After being teased late last month on social media, Judge Doom from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” made his Oogie Boogie Bash debut at Disney California Adventure during last night’s Cast Member preview.

The set for Doom’s treat trail is decorated to look like a brick warehouse, with a platform, a barrel of Dip, and a Dip Machine, as seen at the end of “Who Framed Roger Rabbit.”
In the original teaser video for the villain, a barrel of “turpentine” was shown with a pair of shoelaces hanging out of the green goo inside, referencing the traumatic scene when Doom kills a cartoon shoe with “The Dip.”
At Disney California Adventure’s annual Halloween event, that moment comes to life again, with Doom reenacting it for guests as they pass through his treat trail.
In his interactions with guests, Doom references “Shave and a Haircut,” and says that he’s looking for a toon rabbit… you might know the one.
In one clip shared by the Disneyland Resort Ambassadors on Instagram, Doom can be seen sitting atop the Dip Machine.
You can watch a video of Doom at his treat trail below, from Hitomi Chan on Instagram:
Doom was originally portrayed by Christopher Lloyd in the 1988 film. He created “The Dip,” a radioactive-looking green substance that can kill a cartoon once submerged.
Oogie Boogie Bash
Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party takes place in Disney California Adventure each fall. Historically, the party has included attractions such as Villains Grove, the Headless Horseman, Frightfully Fun Parade, treat trails, Mickey’s Trick and Treat dance party, and photo opportunities. All lands within the park remain open during the Halloween Party, including Avengers Campus.
Unique meet-and-greet opportunities include various Disney Villains. Other past meet and greets included Clarabelle, Daisy, and Minnie posing as the Sanderson Sisters from “Hocus Pocus,” Bruno from “Encanto,” King Mickey and Donald from Kingdom Hearts, and Hercules.
Oogie Boogie Bash was sold out by mid-July, although resellers tried to sell tickets for up to $2,000 on eBay and similar sites.
