Many new menu items are available as of today, October 11, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and we visited the park to try them all — including two new DOLE Whip floats at Tamu Tamu Refreshments.

DOLE Whip Pineapple-Orange Soda Float – $6.49

DOLE Whip Pineapple with Fanta Orange and strawberry syrup

This float is sweet, with both of these popular citrus flavors playing well together: Orange Fanta and pineapple DOLE Whip.

It is supposed to include strawberry syrup, but if it was there, we couldn’t taste it. If it was included, it was overpowered by the other flavors.

The float is nothing fancy, but it is nice, refreshing treat to have on a hot day.

DOLE Whip Pineapple Hard Cider Float – $14

served with ACE Pineapple Hard Cider (beverage with alcohol)

The first thing that comes to mind with this float is that it’s loaded with refreshing, fall flavors.

The DOLE Whip on top is your standard pineapple-flavored take on the treat that you can get almost anywhere in Walt Disney World.

The hard cider has a sweetness from the pineapple that’s quite prevalent. The alcohol is there, too, but it’s not too strong and blends well.

DOLE Whip fans will likely love this treat, though the addition of hard cider adds an adult twist that may not appeal to everyone.
