At an event for the grand opening of Zootopia at Shanghai Disneyland, Chairperson of Walt Disney Parks, Experiences & Products Josh D’Amaro introduced audiences to an incredible roaming Duke Weaselton Audio-Animatronic character.
Duke Weaselton Audio-Animatronic for Zootopia Land
Imagineer Dustin Schofield shared a video of the animatronic on Instagram.
In the video, Duke appears from offstage with a cart. He appears to be pushing the cart with his foot like a skateboard.
He pulls up next to D’Amaro and yanks on a cord that lowers a backdrop while also lifting him into the air.
He finds his footing atop the cart and talks with D’Amaro.

The new Zootopia land opens at Shanghai Disneyland on December 20. Also check out a preview of “Zootopia Comes Alive,” which features puppets interacting with guests from apartment windows. The land’s ride will be Zootopia: Hot Pursuit.
