Lightning McQueen, Bing Bong, and Joy greet attendees at the opening ceremony for Pixar Place Hotel.

Bing Bong, as well as Joy, appeared during the ceremony to greet guests. Bing Bong has never had a meet and greet before, though Joy and Sadness have both appeared in the parks. Lightning McQueen and Miguel from “Coco” were also present during the opening ceremony.

In “Inside Out,” Bing Bong is Riley’s childhood imaginary friend who resembles an elephant made out of cotton candy. He has been left to wander Long Term Memory, where Joy and Sadness encounter him. He is voiced by Richard Kind.

Bing Bong stands on a patch of Luxo ball grass, ready to meet guests staying at Pixar Place Hotel.

Hotel guests can meet Bing Bong seven days a week by the pool deck, next to the Pixar Shorts Court. Here, he stands on a patch of faux grass colored like the Luxo ball, with his rocket wagon behind him.
