BREAKING: ‘World of Color – ONE’ Returning to Disney California Adventure This Month

Disney has officially confirmed our report that “World of Color – ONE” will return to Disney California Adventure this month. “World of Color – Season of Light” has been performed at the park since mid-November for the holiday season.

“World of Color – ONE” will be back beginning on January 19. It was originally scheduled to return in March after a refurbishment but rumors indicating the refurbishment was shortened to just days have turned out to be true.

“World of Color – Season of Light” will continue performances through January 7 before the short refurbishment period.

From January 23 through February 18, the “Hurry Home – A Lunar New Year Celebration” pre-show will also return, for performances before “World of Color – ONE.” The pre-show features a musical score by Tan Dun and tells the story of a lantern trying to reunite with its family for Lunar New Year. “World of Color – ONE” made its debut at Disney California Adventure in January 2023 as part of the Disney 100 Years of Wonder celebration. The show features moments from across Disney’s franchises like “Moana,” “Encanto,” “Star Wars,” and more, while telling a new story of how a single action, like a drop of water, creates a ripple that can grow into a wave of change. In February 2023, the finale of the show was updated because guests weren’t exactly sure when the show ended. The new ending was tightened up to lessen confusion. Watch the original show below.
