Machines selling Disney100 medallions in Magic Kingdom have been updated to feature previously available collectible coins from elsewhere on Walt Disney World property.
‘Peter Pan’ Disney100 Medallion
At the Adventureland Breezeway, there’s one newly added medallion that features Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tinker Bell. All of the other medallions — Madame Leota, Jasmine & Abu, and Lady and the Tramp remain the same.
Prior to the change in the lineup at this machine, Captain Hook was originally an option. He has since been replaced with the new “Peter Pan” medallion.
Because of this change, the sign for the machine also had to be updated. Images of the four original medallion options flanked the Disney100 Years of Wonder Collectible Medallions signage when the machine first went up. Now, as seen above, that area is blank.
This is what the sign looked like with the original lineup of collectible medallions.
When the Disney100 Collectible Medallions first popped up in Walt Disney World, The Peter, Wendy, and Tinker Bell medallion could only be found at Disney’s Contemporary Resort outside of the Fantasia shop. It debuted with a lineup that also included Mirabel, Luisa, and Bruno from “Encanto;” Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket; and Snow White with a rabbit. An entirely different medallion with Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tinker Bell could be found at Disneyland.
“The Princess and the Frog” Disney100 Medallion
Inside the Emporium, also in Magic Kingdom, Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog” is the newest addition to the collectible medallions machine. The other three options — with Daisy and Donald, Goofy and Pluto, and Chip ‘n’ Dale — remain the same.
This is an interesting change, as before adding Tiana, there was a medallion of Mickey and Minnie (as seen above), thus making it a full set of the “Sensational Six.”
Sample images of the four medallions have been removed from the lit sign.
This is what the machine looked like before the new update was made.
The Tiana medallion could also be found at a machine inside Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa near the Monorail station. You could also purchase medallions of Mary Poppins, Wall-E, and Alice and the White Rabbit.
