After a shoe was somehow dropped into the Rivers of America in Magic Kingdom, a Cast Member sprung to the rescue to remove it.

Shoe Saved in Daring Rescue at Rivers of America

The Cast Member, seen on the dock at the right side of the image above, used a hand-held skimmer to attempt to retrieve the lost shoe from the Rivers of America.

They had to switch locations, ending up closer to the Liberty Square Riverboat entrance before they were able to scoop up the missing shoe.

Watch the Cast Member (and a second Cast Member who joined in to help) finally bring the shoe back to shore in the video embedded above from X.

We didn’t spot any guests waiting to get back their missing shoe, so no word on how it got in the river or if anyone claimed it.

Guest shoes and the Rivers of America have been subject to incidents recently, with a guest falling into the Rivers of America after suffering from equilibrium issues earlier this month, and another guest losing their shoe on an EPCOT escalator late last year.
