The Golden Horseshoe at Disneyland has three seasonal menu items currently available: Buffalo Sauce Chicken Tenders, Lemon Pepper Chicken Tenders, and Pibb Xtra Float.

Golden Horseshoe

The Golden Horseshoe is located in Frontierland and opens at 10 a.m. daily for lunch and dinner.

These taste like what you’d expect: Disney chicken tenders tossed in buffalo sauce. We like Disney chicken tenders so no complaints there. They’re well-cooked, tender white meat. If you’re familiar with Disney chicken tenders, you’ll know they’re crunchy. The sauce makes them much softer. It’s a potent, vinegary sauce. We got these tenders with the fries, which are the standard.

One thing we hate about mobile order here and at other Disneyland locations is the plastic to-go packaging. We’re mobile ordering to skip the line, not to take our tenders somewhere else.

Lemon Pepper Chicken Tenders – $12.49

These are crispy because they aren’t coated in a sauce, just the lemon pepper seasoning. Lemon is the predominant flavor and it’s pleasant. The tenders also oversalted, which is a recurring theme at Disneyland recently. The pepper is there too but it’s taking a backseat to the lemon and salt. Again, the tenders are cooked well. These will hit the spot.

Pibb Xtra Float – $6.99

Pibb Xtra, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Whipped Cream

What makes Pibb Xtra seasonal? We don’t know. But it’s perfect in this float. The vanilla ice cream complements the subtle cherry of Pibb Xtra.

Of course, the float immediately overflowed before we even got to the table. So grab some napkins before you grab your float.

These Golden Horseshoe options are fun and interesting for people who might not be as adventurous when it comes to food. They’re kid-friendly, too. We approve.
