While Fantasyland Theatre is not in use, the entrance is being used for stroller parking.

Pixar Pals Playtime Party will be a high-energy show featuring interactive games, photo locations, activities, and shorts playing on a big screen.

There are no shows or showtimes on the nearby sign. “Tale of the Lion King” ran at the theater from May 2022 to January 2024. The theater hosted “Mickey and the Magical Map” from May 2013 to the March 2020 closure of Disneyland Resort due to COVID-19.

Fantasyland Theatre is located near “it’s a small world” and the entrance to Mickey’s Toontown. It opened as Videopolis in 1985 and was renamed Fantasyland Theater in 1995. The spelling of theater/theatre was altered with the opening of “Mickey and the Magical Map” in 2013.

Other previous shows include “Disney Princess Fantasy Faire,” “Snow White: An Enchanting Musical,” “The Spirit of Pocahontas,” “Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage,” and “Mickey’s Nutcracker.”

Lion King decorations

When we visited Fantasyland Theatre on Saturday, “Tales of the Lion King” decorations were still visible on the proscenium of the stage.

Pixar Fest runs from April 26 through August 4, 2024, at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
