‘Little Mermaid’ and More Disney Scenes Added to Living With the Land for 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival

For the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, the Living With the Land greenhouses have new scenes inspired by classic Disney stories including “The Little Mermaid” and “Alice in Wonderland.”

The Little Mermaid in Living with the Land

Living With the Land The Little Mermaid scene

In the first Living With the Land greenhouse are props and set pieces inspired by “The Little Mermaid.” A fishing net hangs over bamboo shelving featuring plants, a globe, a pipe, and a candelabra. The candelabra has silverware instead of candles, together with the pipe referencing items Scuttle gives Ariel.

A “The Little Mermaid” book is leaning against a rock in the sand in front of the display.

These shelves feature various spices in different containers.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Next is a set inspired by “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” A wishing well has been installed under a trellis covered in plants. There are garden gnomes representing the seven dwarfs.

A dove is perched on the edge of the wishing well. On the table nearby is a pie and a basket of apples. The apples are mostly green but there’s one red apple, referencing the film’s poisoned fruit.

There is also a crate of flowers and gems with a lantern and pickaxe, representing the gems the dwarfs mine for.

Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh picnic

We noticed the Winnie the Pooh picnic last week. There is a plethora of food and plants in pots inspired by Winnie the Pooh’s friends. There’s also a “hunny” pot.

A yellow “Winnie the Pooh” book is at the back of the picnic.

Rabbit's garden

New to the scene is Rabbit’s garden. A large planter box is full of “kerits” and “letus” – Rabbit’s misspellings of “carrots” and “lettuce.”

Alice in Wonderland

Living With the Land Alice in Wonderland scene

The final scene is inspired by “Alice in Wonderland.” There are giant playing cards and a tea party in the edible flower garden. A tiny blue caterpillar figure is hiding in a plant.

The playing cards include a Queen of Hearts. They hang from the ceiling.

This table is set with a checkered tablecloth, colorful teapots, and tall candles. Mushrooms are among the clovers on the ground. A pot on the ground resembles the Mad Hatter’s top hat.

An “Alice in Wonderland” book sits on one chair (Cast Members moved which chair it was in between our visits).

Cheshire Cat face

We also spotted the Cheshire Cat’s face blending in with these white planters nearby.
