Themed Signage Added to New Harambe Market Seating Area in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney has added more themed signs to the new Harambe Market seating area at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Themed Signage in Harambe Market Seating Area

Harambe Market covered seating area

The covered seating area serves Harambe MarketTamu Tamu Refreshments, or Zuri’s Sweets Shop in the Africa section of the park. It opened in March after nine months of construction and is located across from Harambe Market, next to the Malimwengu Guest House building.

We noticed the first of the new signage in this flowerbed. The Festival of the Lion King poster on the wall above was already there.

Two new small yellow signs read, “Practise Respect for Nature.” One is directly in front of a potted tree.

The other sign is located further back in the flowerbed.

Above it is a wooden sign reading, “Tamu Tamu Refreshments.” It has a textured surface with floral carvings at each end.

On a nearby wall is a carved wood sign reading:

Harambe Town Official Heritage Site

To be preserved by order of the Ministry of Culture

1984

Another sign is an advertisement for Cicero Art School, a fake business located in the fake town.

A sign has been added to this obelisk at the main entrance to the seating area. It reads “Karibuni,” which is Swahili for “Welcome.”

The sign continues in English:

Welcome all guests

to our lovely patio, however please mind your manners.

It’s in a brown wooden frame with carvings that match the nearby fence posts.

A sign reading “Tamu Tamu” hangs over the doorway.

It also has floral carvings.

The other side, as seen when guests exit, reads, “Go Well.”

The new seating area connects to the pre-existing Tamu Tamu Refreshments seating.
