2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the first LEGO Star Wars set, and to celebrate, a new collection is being released. Several sets are available now, with more coming in May.
LEGO Star Wars Boarding the Tantive IV – $54.99
Boarding the Tantive IV is 502 pieces and is available now. It replicates the opening scene from “Episode IV: A New Hope” where Darth Vader and his troopers board the rebel ship in pursuit of the Death Star plans.
It comes with a special (and unrelated) 25th anniversary Minifigure of ARC (Advanced Recon Commando) Trooper Fives from the “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” animated series.
Levers allow the Minifigures to get knocked over as if Vader is moving them with the Force.
Another lever opens and closes the corridor.
The set comes with six Minifigures: Darth Vader, two Stormtroopers, two Rebel Fleet Troopers, and Captain Antilles.
R2-D2 – $99.99
R2-D2 is 1,050 pieces and is available now for purchase.
This set allows you to build your own astromech droid and enjoy hours of role play fun. It also includes a regular-sized R2-D2 LEGO figure and an information plaque and stand.
Pieces Features include R2-D2’s 360-degree rotating head, an attachable third leg, an attachable periscope, and attachable tools. The droid is built to move, and can roll around with you as you explore the galaxy together.
The set also includes an (unrelated) LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary Minifigure of Darth Malak with a lightsaber and display stand.
Invisible Hand – $49.99
The Invisible Hand set is 557 pieces and is available now.
This mid-scale buildable model of the Invisible Hand from “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” includes authentic details to recreate its features, including the main hangar.
Connector bricks and clips allow the front half of the starship to be separated from the rear, just as it broke in half on its fiery descent into Coruscant’s atmosphere.
The set also includes a buildable display stand and a LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary brick.
Millennium Falcon – $84.99
The Millennium Falcon set is 921 pieces and is available now for purchase.
With this set, you can build the iconic starship as it’s seen in “Star Wars: A New Hope.” The build is designed to showcase the Millennium Falcon at a dynamic angle, as if it were in flight.
The set includes a specially designed stand for that dynamic display angle, and a LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary brick.
Tantive IV – $79.99
The Tantive IV set is 654 pieces and is available now.
The mid-scale build showcases the starship as it was seen in the opening sequence of “Star Wars: A New Hope.”
The build is packed with authentic details, even down to Tantive IV’s 11 engines and turbolasers.
The set also includes a stand with a nameplate and a LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary brick.
Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator – $69.99
Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator is coming on May 1, 2024, and can be pre-ordered now.
Comprised of 640 pieces, this build aimed at kids ages 9 and up recreates Darth Maul’s personal starship and Bloodfin Speeder.
The wings of the starship fold out, and the landing gear can be retracted for flight. The ship includes two spring-loaded shooters for targeting enemies, and a droid-dropping function — simply press the trigger to drop three DRK-1 Probe Droids from the front compartment.
The set includes four LEGO Star Wars Minifigures: Darth Maul, Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, and an exclusive LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary Saw Gerrera Minifigure with a display stand.
Darth Maul’s Minifigure includes a double-bladed lightsaber, and Qui-Gon Jinn has his green lightsaber. The set also includes Darth Maul’s Bloodfin speeder, which fits inside the starship cockpit.
Clone Commander Cody BrickHeadz – $9.99
The Clone Commander Cody BrickHeadz build includes 147 pieces and will be released on May 1, 2024.
This model features Commander Cody in his Phase 2 armor with a visor, two antennae, and a flashlight element, along with an antenna on his left shoulder and a utility belt. The build also includes a holoprojector like the one on which Commander Cody received the Order 66 from Chancellor Palpatine. He also holds a blaster.
The build comes with a baseplate to complete the display piece.
Buildable Droideka – $64.99
The buildable Droideka set is 583 pieces and will be released on May 1, 2024.
Builders can relive the invasion of Naboo from scenes in “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace” and “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” with this set.
The Droideka’s arms move back and forth with realistic shooting motion and it can have its legs reattached to transform it into a ball shape.
The build also includes a small LEGO droid figure of a Droideka with a LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary display plaque and brick.
Mos Espa Podrace Diorama – $79.99
The Mos Espa Podrace Diorama is 718 pieces and will be released on May 1, 2024.
With this build, you can recreate a snapshot of the Mos Espa Podrace on Tatooine from “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.”
The build includes both Anakin and Sebulba’s Podracers, a plaque with Qui-Gon Jinn’s racing advice, and a LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary brick.
The Phantom Menace BrickHeadz – $54.99
The Phantom Menace BrickHeadz set includes 732 pieces and will be released on May 1, 2024.
The set includes six buildable figures: Captain Panaka, Queen Amidala, Jar Jar Binks, Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Darth Maul. Each figure comes with baseplates and authentic accessories, like young Anakin’s hammer and Darth Maul’s red double-bladed lightsaber.
Ultimate Collectors Series TIE Interceptor – $229.99
The TIE Interceptor is 1931 pieces and will be released on May 4, but LEGO Insiders can purchase it early beginning May 1.
The iconic TIE Interceptor starfighter was part of the first-ever launch of LEGO Star Wars UCS sets in the year 2000. Now, it has been redesigned for even greater authenticity. Buildable details include its wings, cockpit interior, laser cannons, and rear engine.
The build also includes a display stand with an information plaque, a LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary brick, and space for the included TIE Pilot LEGO Minifigure and LEGO mouse droid figure.
AAT Mini Build – Gift with Purchase
The AAT mini-build will be available as a free gift with Star Wars LEGO purchases of $40 or more starting May 1.
The build includes 75 pieces, and features a rotating laser cannon.
This poly bag set is also available for separate purchase at select retailers.
Trade Federation Troop Carrier – Gift With Purchase
The Trade Federation Troop Carrier will be available as a free gift with Star Wars LEGO purchases over $160 starting May 1. The set is comprised of 262 pieces.
This buildable vehicle has space for two Pilot Battle Droid Lego figures and six Battle Droids, who fit on the rear rack, ready to head out in the Battle of Naboo in “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.” The rack slides out and unfolds and can store the Battle Droids’ blasters. The build also includes a LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary brick.
The Force of Creativity – $149.99
This coffee table book celebrates the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars building sets with 312 pages of illustrations and interviews with more than 50 insiders at the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm.
The book tells the story of the LEGO Star Wars brand, from the creation of popular building sets to immersive real-world experiences, video games, animated storytelling, and the fan community.
The book will include previously unseen development art, character designs, and more.
This deluxe collectible book for adults is packaged in a slipcase with an exclusive “time capsule” — which includes art prints, facsimiles, new building instructions, and a cardstock replica of the rare 1999 Toy Fair invitation box that marked the start of LEGO Star Wars.
The time capsule will also include development art for an unreleased LEGO Star Wars Zem Wesell Minifigure (2020), an unproduced animation script, and more.
“The Force of Creativity” will be available for pre-order on May 1 for release on July 20, 2024.
