There is one new and one returning dish at Docking Bay 7 for the event: Fried Chicken Baos and Dewback Chili Noodles.

*NEW* Fried Chicken Baos – $14.99

Two Crispy Chicken Baos, Spicy Katsu Sauce, Creamy Slaw

We thought the Fried Chicken Baos were incredibly good and flavorful, and reminded us of the bao served during Lunar New Year festivities at Disney California Adventure. The protein is basically a chicken tender, but the accompanying sauce is refreshingly tangy and sweet.

This dish does not have any “in-universe” references. In fact, it’s unique in that it doesn’t refer to the chicken as Tip-Yip like most Galaxy’s Edge offerings.

Dewback Chili Noodles – $17.99

Spiced Fettuccine Noodles, Gingered Ground Pork with Broccolini Stems, Shredded Red Cabbage

This is a returning dish, but the pappardelle noodles have been replaced with fettuccine, and the Brussels Sprouts leaves were swapped out for broccolini stems.

The fettuccine noodles were quite tasty here, and the sauce packs quite a kick while not being overwhelmingly spicy. The broccoli stems were well-cooked and flavorful. The portion size is what we’d consider good for the price.

Dewback meat is one of the in-universe equivalents of Earth pork. The green reptilian creatures are native to Tatooine and were first seen on screen in “Episode IV: A New Hope.” Guests who choose the Elemental Nature style at Savi’s Handbuilt Lightsabers can select a sleeve covered in Dewback hide leather.
