Universal Orlando Resort released a new Halloween Horror Nights 33 teaser on social media this Tuesday. The teaser follows up on the image of a utilitarian door reading “Do Not Enter.”
Halloween Horror Nights 33 Teaser
The video begins with a look at the entrance of Universal Studios Florida at night. A custodian is cleaning the streets of the park’s New York area. He hears strange noises.
The noises get louder, rising from a grate at the edge of the street. The camera then pans below the ground into underground tunnels, where the mysterious door is.
Vine-like tentacles creep through the crack under the door.
Inside is a large pulsing pupa hanging from the ceiling. A glowing light in the mass resembles an eye. It breaks open, sending a reverberation across Universal Studios Florida.
Red smoke encroaches on Universal Studios Florida and another shot of the entrance sees a monstrous reflection of the park in the water. This moment in particular seems to reference the Upside Down in “Stranger Things.”
The caption for the video reads “the gate has been opened,” alluding to something like a hellgate. The link leads to the Halloween Horror Nights webpage.
Halloween Horror Nights begins on August 30, 2024.
