New Matterhorn Tiki Mug Coming to Disneyland Resort for 65th Anniversary

A new Matterhorn 65th Anniversary Abominable Snowman tiki mug will be available from Trader Sam’s at Disneyland Resort on June 20.

Disney shared a glimpse at the mug on Instagram. It will come with the coconut-pineapple DOLE whip that was already available in a Matterhorn cup, honoring 65 years of the Disneyland attraction.

The new tiki mug is sculpted like a mix of the mountain and the abominable snowman. It’s white with blue highlights and details.

On the back, below the opening, is “65th anniversary.”

The tiki mug will be available for purchase on the Disneyland App through the Trader Sam’s Mug Release listing. Mobile order will start as early as 6 a.m. PST on June 20. Pickup windows will be between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. PST. The mug will be available at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar beginning on June 21. There is a limit of 2 per order.

Artist Doug P’Gosh will also be available for signings on June 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. PST.

The Matterhorn Bobsleds opened at Disneyland on June 14, 1959. The coaster has two tracks with 6-person bobsleds that take guests 80 feet up into a mountain, where they “Swoop in and out of shadowy caves and along jagged rocky ledges” while avoiding the Abominable Snowman.
