Din Tai Fung is a global restaurant company known for the art of Xiao Long Bao. The Downtown Disney District location is its first-ever standalone restaurant. It will soft open on June 24, 2024, serving a limited menu while preparing for its official grand opening in July.

The architecture and design elements of Din Tai Fung pay homage to the company’s Taiwanese heritage. The exterior is a dramatic, contemporary take on a traditional Chinese pavilion rooftop structure. Inside is a suspended, beaded installation over a circular bar. Traditional-style Chinese pendants illuminate the space. Guests can view the artistry behind dumpling-making at an expo kitchen.

Reservations will be available on Din Tai Fung’s website.

Din Tai Fung is sponsoring the 2024 CHOC Walk in the Park, presented by Disneyland Resort. The restaurant is donating $50,000 to the annual event, which takes place on July 21, bringing the community together to raise funds for programs, education, and research at Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
