Space Mountain Queue Construction & Single Rider Changes at Disneyland

Shannen Ace

A construction box has gone up in the Space Mountain queue at Disneyland and the attraction also changed their single rider operations (again).

Space Mountain Queue Construction

A spacious indoor dining area with modern architectural design echoes the excitement of a Disneyland experience. Diners enjoy their meals, while a ramp reminiscent of a gentle roller coaster leads up to another level, and sunlight filters through large skylights.

The construction box is in the upper level of the queue, near the former PeopleMover track.

It’s a tall box made of blue construction walls. There’s a set of hinged and locked doors on the front.

A modern outdoor area with a white overhang, blue storage lockers, potted plants, a chain barrier, and a blue trash can resembles the sleek design you’d find near Space Mountain at a theme park.

We’re not sure what kind of construction the box is hiding.

This pigeon couldn’t give us information, either.

Space Mountain Single Rider

Meanwhile, there’s a new single rider entrance. Instead of clogging up the DAS queue, there are now stanchions by the former Magic Eye Theater exit.

A blue sign with the text "Space Mountain Single Rider" and an arrow pointing left is displayed near a queue of people, leading them toward the excitement of Space Mountain. Plants and a building structure are visible in the background.

There’s a sign up at the entrance reading “Space Mountain Single Rider.”

The queue switches back and forth a few times in this space before small groups of single riders are allowed in a holding area. They are then loaded onto the ride one at a time.
