Adamantium, the fictional metal best known for providing Wolverine his indestructible claws, will be debuting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It was confirmed during San Diego Comic-Con today that the Celestials will be the source of Adamantium for the MCU. This news comes on the heels of “Deadpool and Wolverine,” the first Deadpool movie under the Disney umbrella. The X-Men are primed for introduction into the MCU and the inclusion of Adamantium may be the first step.
It’s unknown how much of a role Adamantium will play in the film, though unreleased footage was shown where Harrison Ford’s President Thaddeus Ross was discussing it.
“Captain America: Brave New World” stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Giancarlo Esposito as Sidewinder, and Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon. The film is set to hit theaters in the U.S. on February 14, 2025.
