Disney has announced that the Haunted Mansion Holiday will be re-opening on July 29 at the Disneyland Resort. Guests will be required to use virtual queue to experience the attraction upon its initial opening.
Haunted Mansion Holiday Reopening
The attraction closed on January 22 of this year for construction to begin on a brand new queue and gift shop. This is the first official confirmation that the attraction will be re-opening immediately with its ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ overlay. Typically, the attraction does not begin this seasonal overlay until the beginning of Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort.
Virtual Queue Details
Due to the ongoing construction of the attraction’s queue, a standby line will not be offered and guests will have to obtain a virtual queue using the Disneyland app for a chance to ride.
Boarding groups will be distributed two times per day for the attraction. Guests with park tickets and a valid park reservation may request to join the virtual queue beginning at 7:00 AM. At 12:00 PM, boarding groups will open to guests already inside Disney California Adventure park who have a Park Hopper ticket and to guests inside Disneyland Park.
Disney recommends that guests MyDisney accounts are linked to their group’s park tickets to ensure the best possible chance of obtaining a spot in the virtual queue. Each guest can request to enter the virtual queue once per day.
