Astro Hero Time Returns to Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters Before Permanent Closure

The Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters: Astro Hero Time! overlay has returned one final time before the attraction permanently closes later this year.

Guests visiting Tokyo Disneyland from now until September 18 can experience the “Astro Hero Time!” overlay of Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters. The marquee in front of the attraction now includes the “Astro Hero Time” logo and a score of 999999.

Decals featuring Buzz Lightyear and two Little Green Men have been added to the exterior of the building. These decals show a green rocket flying through the galaxy. A message below the characters tells guests to “Complete the Mission!”

“Astro Hero Time” is just the first stage of the farewell celebration for Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters. The second part of the celebration will begin on September 19 and run through October 31 when the ride is scheduled to permanently close. When the attraction does close, construction on a new Wreck-It Ralph shooting attraction will begin. The new ride is set to open in 2026.
