In May, we reported that the former Cinnabon and Quiet Flight Surf Shop stores had been completely gutted at Universal CityWalk Orlando. On a recent visit, we saw that noticeable changes have been made to the area outside both locations.

All of the gray flooring has been ripped out of each store and the area outside of each location is now dirt. Large bundles of construction materials have been added to the site in front of the former Cinnabon location, and we noticed that some wooden structures have gone up as well.

A construction site in a commercial area with a small excavator, surrounded by plywood barriers and adjacent to signs for shops and a cinema, marks the latest CityWalk Construction update.

A digger was seen outside of the former Quiet Flight Surf Shop store. Cinder blocks, wooden pallets, and other construction materials are scattered throughout the site.

Universal has yet to announce what new experiences will replace the two stores that closed earlier this year. Guests looking for Cinnabon treats can visit carts around Universal CityWalk Orlando and at Fresh Eats in the security hub.

Outdoor area at CityWalk features large posters showcasing food above a green staircase, with metal framework and plants in pots under a clear blue sky. This recent update adds a fresh vibe to the space amidst ongoing construction efforts.

Unrelated to the construction at the former site of Cinnabon and Quiet Flight Surf Shop, two trusses have been erected across from Red Coconut Club. These pillars have been constructed as Universal seemingly prepares to bring back Dead Coconut Club for Halloween Horror Nights 33.
