Disney CEO Bob Iger Shares Statement in Wake of Shooting at Rally for Former President Trump

Disney CEO Bob Iger has taken to Instagram to share a statement in the wake of a shooting at Former President Donald Trump’s rally on July 13.

The incident took place in Pennsylvania while the Former President was on stage at a rally for his 2024 Presidential campaign. CNN reports that there were two related fatalities, including the shooter. At this time, reports indicate that three people were injured, including Trump, who sustained a wound to his ear.

On July 14, Disney CEO Bob Iger posted the following statement to his social media account.

A message expressing relief over former President Trump's safety at his rally, condolences to Corey Comperator's family, prayers for other victims of the shooting, and a call for national unity against political violence.

“We are all thankful that President Trump was not severely injured, and I wish him a speedy recovery. I offer my most heartfelt condolences to the family of Corey Comperatore and I am praying for the other victims of this unconscionable shooting. As a nation, we must all unite in condemnation of political violence.”
