After a two-month closure, M. Mouse Mercantile has reopened with elegant new flooring, a new paint scheme, and new displays at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
M. Mouse Mercantile Renovation
M. Mouse Mercantile has reopened with a much more elegant flair at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. All of the flooring inside the store has been replaced, a fresh color scheme has been introduced, and new displays and artwork have been added.
White tile now takes up most of the store. It is accented by brown hardwood floors that stretch along the entryways. A new white carpet surrounded by hardwood floors has been added to the area near the cash registers.

Before the refurbishment, the gift shop had a pink, red, and orange carpet that stretched throughout the entire store. Nearly the entire space was painted white with no accent coloring.

Now, the store has a brand-new green and white color scheme. Green is the new primary color and white is used for the trim and to help the green pop.

The columns around the cash register have adopted this same color scheme. Most of each column is green. A green square is framed inside the white trim of the base on all four sides of each column.
The columns further back in the store are white with green floral wallpaper at the top.

This same floral wallpaper has been added to the area around the large windows at the back of the store. The area the wallpaper inhabits, used to be an eggshell color. Additionally, white curtains have been added to each window.
The displays within the store have also received a necessary upgrade. Each now features the green and white color scheme as seen throughout the rest of the store. Additionally, some of the displays feature white and black marble finishes and gold accent paint.
Before the renovation, these displays were white and featured none of the elegance now present.
Bronze Mickey and Minnie statues have also been added to the location. Posing in floral green attire, they are stationed in the middle of the store near where the black and gold Grand Floridian logo used to be. That logo and the column it was attached to have been removed.
Behind them, a new wall display has replaced multiple windows at the back of the store.
New artwork has been added behind the checkout area. This elegant display depicts a black-and-white picture of Mickey and Minnie in front of Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. A flower border stretches along the bottom of the image. The picture’s frame is white. Two colorful images of Mickey and Minnie used to inhabit this space. Each was enclosed in a brown wooden frame.
Despite all the work done as part of the M. Mouse Mercantile renovation, the shop’s official website still shows the location as it was before the refurbishment began on May 13.
