Universal Orlando Casting ‘Superfans’ for New Vlog Series

Universal Orlando Resort is looking for “Superfans” to star in a new Discovery Universal vlogger-style YouTube series.

“The Fanny Pack” on the Universal Orlando Resort YouTube channel will feature a rotating cast of diverse fans “highlighting all there is to experience at Universal Orlando through unscripted and improvised video segments, challenges, and additional video content.”

The open casting call asks fans to film a vlogger-style tour of their favorite spot local spot such as their house, a park, or a coffee shop. At the same time, they must answer six questions about Universal Orlando:

  • Tell us about a favorite memory of yours from Universal Orlando Resort.
  • Give us a personal history of your love for a Universal Intellectual Property.
  • When you enter Universal Islands of Adventure, which direction do you go? Left or right? Tell us why.
  • Give us an example of one thing that helps you instantly know you’ve met a fellow Universal superfan.
  • Give us your favorite hack or planning tip for visiting Universal Orlando Resort.
  • Do you have any friends who you would love to vlog about Universal Orlando Resort with?

Universal says they are looking for “authentic, witty, adventurous and outgoing personalities with a passion for theme parks, fandoms, thrill rides and pop culture.” Fans auditioning must also have experience “crafting or interacting with social media content, be genuinely interested in being a content creator, and be knowledgeable about tips for vacationing at Universal Orlando.” Experience vlogging or creating digital content is preferred but not required. Fans must reside in the Orlando, Florida area.
