“I am Moana of Motunui. You will board my boat, sail across the sea, and restore the heart of Te Fiti.”

There have been many milestones this week at Disney Parks, and more to come!

The Tower of Terror at Walt Disney World is about to celebrate its 30th birthday on July 22nd, 2024. We’ll see how they’re celebrating with the return of a lost detail in the queue and a whole slew of merch being released. We’ll also share our favorite memories of this beloved attraction.

If you missed it, this week, Disneyland turned 69 and celebrated with a special cavalcade, a great ticket offer for locals, and a cool pin. We’ll talk about 69 years and what to expect for 70! In addition, this past week marked the opening of the new Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Magic Kingdom. We’ll show you new merch, as well as some changes in Disneyland paying tribute to the bears.

There was a huge global IT outage this week that affected flights and other services worldwide. Some of the international parks such as Hong Kong Disneyland and Disneyland Paris reported having issues. Technology is great when it works, but a nightmare when it fails. Do the parks rely on it too much?

Patents were filed for a new water flume concept that seems to match up perfectly with previous concept art for the Moana boat ride that was originally teased at D23 2022. Could this mean it’s back on the table for another park? And, permits are in for adding the set pieces to Test Track 3.0 at EPCOT. Could a reopening date be coming at the Disney Ultimate Fan Event in a few weeks?

We also have more Halloween updates as more merch drops, party infrastructure begins to appear, and more news is released about the spooky season at Disney Parks. Also, we’ll talk about that Mickey Pumpkin Wreath decoration dropping on DisneyStore.com tomorrow.

But wait, there’s MORE! We have some updates on Lightening Lane, Food and Wine, the Carousel of Progress, and small changes in Adventureland.

Join us for all of this tonight on ParksCenter!
