Pixar officially announced “Incredibles 3” during the Disney Entertainment Showcase of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

Brad Bird, the writer and director of the first two “Incredibles” films, is developing the threequel.

No other details were announced. Previous reports did indicate “Incredibles 3” was in the works as Pixar leans on sequels for success. Despite the son of Pixar’s SVP of Development, Lindsey Collins, telling her another Incredibles film would be a “money grab” (via Bloomberg), it seems they’ve decided to move forward with the project.

“The Incredibles” was released in 2004. “Incredibles 2” followed in 2018.
