New “Star Wars” merchandise coming to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is now available to view and add to your wishlist on DisneyStore.com. The merchandise will be available at the D23 event in Anaheim this weekend before an online release on August 12 at 8 a.m. PT. Select items are exclusive to either D23 or Disney Store.
New D23 ‘Star Wars’ Merchandise Collection
The collection includes a limited-edition Star Tours StarSpeeder 3000 figure, Dark Side Loungefly ear headband, the Blade of Ochi of Bestoon, and the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Legacy Lightsaber hilt set.
Blade of Ochi of Bestoon – Galactic Archive Series – $79.99
The Blade of Ochi of Bestoon appears in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” It’s etched with Sith text that C-3PO’s programming forbids him from translating. It’s named after the assassin and Sith relic hunter, Ochi of Bestoon.
This screen-accurate simulated dagger features a retractable finder. The Sith runes light up with a button on the handle.
The Blade of Ochi of Bestoon is exclusive to Disney Store. It is a limited edition of 3,000. It includes a display stand featuring the Sith Eternal crest.
It requires one CR123A button cell battery, which is included.
Kylo Ren Reforged Helmet – Galactic Archive Series – $139.99
Also part of the Galactic Archive Series is Kylo Ren’s reforged helmet, also straight out of “The Rise of Skywalker.”
It features cracks that light up red. The helmet also has sound effects including character phrases and voice-changing capabilities.
The helmet includes instructions and three AA batteries.
Pit Droid Interactive Action Figure – $49.99
This interactive toy resembles one of the DUM-series pit droids that appear throughout the “Star Wars” series. They were first introduced in “The Phantom Menace.”
The detailed action figure has 19 points of articulation. Pressing the top of its head activates sound effects. It holds an interactive power wrench.
It can fold up into a compact “rest mode.”
The action figure is recommended for ages 3+. It includes three required AG13 button cell batteries.
R6-D23 Star Wars Droid Factory Figure – $14.99
This new Droid Factory figure is named for D23, Disney’s official fan club. R6-D23 is a black, red, white, and silver astromech droid. It wears a blue pointed hat inspired by that of Yen Sid in the Sorcerer’s Apprentice sequence of “Fantasia.”
The fully sculpted droid figure has articulated arms. The sorcerer’s hat can be removed.
This is recommended for ages 4+.
RX-24 Talking Action Figure – Limited Release – $34.99
This action figure depicts RX-24, the original captain of Star Tours who can now be seen DJ-ing at Oga’s Cantina. “Rex” is a silver droid with gold-orange and blue details.
The action figure has light and sound effects, including button-activated character phrases. His eyes and mouth light up in sync with the phrases. It has 13 points of articulation.
This is recommended for ages 3+. It includes three AG13 button cell batteries.
Star Tours StarSpeeder 3000 Vehicle Play Set – Limited Edition – $300
You can also get Rex as part of this limited-edition Star Tours playset. It includes a StarSpeeder 3000 vehicle, RX-24 figure, and R2-D2 figure.
The StarSpeeder has scale seats with seat belts, button-activated opening doors with a chime sound, cannons and thrusters with sound effects, and a reversible light-up display stand.
Inside is an LCD screen with authentic attraction content. Buttons activate the attraction content, display sequences, and RX-24 phrases. The interior lights up to the media.
It has removable side panels, rooftop carrier, and roof panel. It has extending and retracting landing gear that locks and exterior light effects.
The playset has a limited edition of 3,000. It includes two USB cords. It requires 6 AA batteries, which are not included. It’s recommended for ages 14+.
Star Wars: Dark Side Loungefly Ear Headband for Adults by Alex Riegert-Waters – Star Wars Artist Series – $44.99
The first item in the artist series designed by Alex Riegert-Waters is this Loungefly ear headband. It features shiny red pleather and a removable glittering black bow. Darth Vader is pictured on screen art on the front of the left ear. Stormtroopers are lined up behind him, across both ears.
The stormtroopers continue on the backs of the ears, which are padded.
An embroidered “Dark Side” logo is on one side of the band and a cloisonné “Star Wars” x Loungefly label is on the other side.
Alex Riegert-Waters is a designer and illustrator based in Los Angeles, California, with over 15 years of design experience. He is a graphic design manager on the Global Product Creation team at The Walt Disney Company.
Star Wars: Dark Side Loungefly Mini Backpack by Alex Riegert-Waters – Star Wars Artist Series – $89
The Loungefly mini backpack matches the ear headband with a red shiny finish. Darth Vader and Stormtroopers are pictured on the front. A glittering version of the “Star Wars” logo and embroidered “Dark Side” text are above the villains.
The backpack straps feature a black and white design inspired by “Star Wars” ships.
The Stormtroopers are lined up on the back and across the side slip pockets. It has silvertone hardware and an interior pocket with an elastic band.
The interior lining features Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Kylo Ren, and Stormtroopers.
“The Dark Side” Matted Print by Alex Riegert-Waters – Star Wars Artist Series – $44.99
This lithograph features many of the villains of “Star Wars.” Vader is at the front, with Maul, Kylo Ren, Count Dooku, Asajj Ventress, Emperor Palpatine, and General Grievous behind him. It comes with an attached cellophane cover. It’s 11 1/2 inches wide and 15 inches tall. The included mat is 14 inches wide and 18 inches tall.
Darth Vader Figurine by Alex Riegert-Waters – Star Wars Artist Series – $49.99
The collection also includes a fully sculpted Darth Vader action figurine designed by Riegert-Waters. Vader has one fist raised and his lightsaber in his other hand. The saber lights up thanks to a switch on the base.
Star Wars: Dark Side Spirit Jersey for Adults by Alex Riegert-Waters – Star Wars Artist Series – $79.99
This black Spirit Jersey features Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, Darth Maul, and two Stormtroopers across the chest. The sleeves are decorated with white designs.
Puffy ink art reading “Star Wars Dark Side” is on the back. It’s long-sleeved with a ribbed crew neck and cuffs, shirttail hem, and woven Spirit Jersey label. It’s 100% cotton.
Star Wars: Dark Side Disney Lacers by Alex Riegert-Waters – Star Wars Artist Series – Limited Edition – $24.99
This isn’t a life-size sneaker but a vinyl collectible of a custom-sculpted miniature shoe, part of the D23 Disney Lacers Collection. It’s black with red detailing and laces. Vader, two Stormtroopers, and TIE Fighters are on one side.
The other side features Darth Sidious shooting Force lightning.
The heel tab features a red lightsaber.
Vader, the Imperial logo, and the Disney Lacers logo are on the bottom. The collectible has a limited-edition size of 2,000.
Darth Vader Stainless Steel Starbucks Tumbler with Straw – $44.99
The last item featuring Riegert-Waters’ artwork is this double-walled stainless steel cold beverage Starbucks tumbler. Vader is pictured in front of the Death Star on one side of the black tumbler.
It’s topped with a screw-on lid and a red reusable straw inspired by a red lightsaber. It’s hand wash only and not dishwasher-safe. It holds 24 ounces.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars LIGHTSABER Hilt Set – Limited Edition – Signed – $550
This last collector’s set includes the three lightsaber hilts of Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker.
The set has a limited edition size of 3,000. Each includes a certificate of authenticity signed by the actors who voiced the characters in “The Clone Wars”: Ashley Eckstein, James Arnold Taylor, and Matt Lanter.
Each lightsaber has a push switch to activate noises and sounds. Lightsaber blades are sold separately.
The three hilts are presented in a wooden box featuring a hinged lid and metal latch.
On top of the lid is art depicting the three characters. Their names are spelled out in Aurebesh lettering. Aurebesh on the side of the case translates to “Jedi Knights.”
